What Is It

Minerva Archive is a community effort to archive the entirety of Myrient’s ROM collection using torrents. When Myrient shut down on March 31, 2026 due to funding issues and rising hardware costs, Minerva stepped in to ensure the files survived.

Why It Exists

Large gaming companies have closed digital storefronts for older consoles. If you don’t already own the physical media, there is no official way to download and play retro games. Archives like Minerva preserve access to gaming history for future generations.

How It Works

  • Browse or search the archive at minerva-archive.org
  • Download torrent files for the ROMs you want
  • Seed what you can to help distribute the files

How to Help

Seed. That’s it. Every seeder helps distribute the archive without requiring centralized bandwidth costs. Whether you can seed 1TB or 1MB, it matters.
