Two Ways to Destroy Any Website

Destroy Any Website, Twice

Page Rage by Alex Reardon. Extension plus pre-made pages. Destroy Any Website by Sprite Fusion. Browser, multiplayer.

Some days you do not want to read the page. You want to shoot it. These two toys agree with you from opposite directions: one turns destruction into a fidget, the other into a match with a scoreboard.

  1. Sprite Fusion’s version is the real game. Type any URL and the page becomes a platformer level: run with A and D, tap space to flip, hold it to fly, click to shoot, right-click for grenades, number keys to swap weapons. Every chunk of the page you blast raises your destroyed percentage until the Website destroyed screen. Daily challenges, quick match, friends-only rooms, and touch controls with a dive-bombing drone round it out.

  2. Page Rage is the faster hit. Install the extension on Chrome, Firefox, or Edge and any page becomes breakable, or skip the install entirely and smash one of six pre-made targets in any browser. The lineup tells you the intended mood: Rageit, The Daily Dread, Discontent, Envy, Nest, and Pain Mail. An inbox you are finally allowed to destroy is the whole joke, and it lands.

  3. The design choice I keep thinking about is the percentage counter. Both toys could have stopped at particles and debris. Scoring destruction turns a tantrum into a run: 87% is not rubble, it is an unfinished run, and there is always one more sticky header hiding somewhere. Completionism weaponized for catharsis.

  4. Neither pretends to be more than a five-minute toy, which is the honest caveat and the recommendation at once. Page Rage needs the extension for arbitrary pages and Safari users are still waiting. Sprite Fusion demands a wide window or a sideways phone, and multiplayer needs friends online at the same time. Come for the cooldown between meetings, not for the evening.

Play it if: your current tab deserves mild violence and you have five minutes. Skip it if: you need progression, story, or any reason to come back tomorrow beyond spite.
